Team Silent was a development group at Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo, responsible for the first four Silent Hill games. According to sound director, Akira Yamaoka, the group was composed of staff members that had failed at other projects and intended to leave Konami before the first Silent Hill turned out to be a success. The team now are working on seperate projects, leaving third-party developers, like Climax Studios and Double Helix Games, to develop the series. Some members went on to create the Siren series which has a similar feel to Silent Hill.
