Smash Coins are items that appear in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. They only appear in Coin Battle mode, and are used to raise the player's score. There are copper, silver, and gold coins. In Melee, copper is worth 1 point, silver is worth 5 points, and gold is worth 10 points. In Brawl, copper is 1 point, silver is 3 points, and gold is 5 points.
Smash Coins can be found in Crates, Barrels, Eggs, and Capsules, or by being knocked out of other fighters. Coins bounce a short distance when knocked out of the player, and when the player is KO'd, they will lose half of their coins in Melee, and 100 in Brawl.
