Rayman Origins is a prequel being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft. The game was originally an episodic, downloadable title but now it is being developed as a full retail title. The game centers around Rayman, Globox, and two Teensies as they have to save the Glade of Dreams from evil creatures.

Gameplay Edit

The gameplay of Rayman Origins is extremely similar to the gameplay of the original Rayman and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The game can either be played single-player or multi-player co-op for up to 4 people. The players control Rayman, Globox, and two Teensies. For multi-player, there are secret locations that can only be accessed through the use of teamwork. Also in multi-player, players can drop in and out and, like New Super Mario Bros., players can turn into balloons which have to be popped by other players. The game features over 60 levels with 12 different locations. In each level there are Electoon cages that have to bee freed which are in secret rooms, Lums to collected as currency, and Death Medallions which unlock levels in the Land of the Dead. Death Medallions may even deform the environment to create a shortcuts, Lums, or entrances to secret rooms.
