Piantas are a human-like species that have small plants growing on their heads. Most live on Isle Delfino in Super Mario Sunshine, but a few live in Rogueport in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and in space in Super Mario Galaxy 2. They have a great relationship with the Nokis, who they share Isle Delfino with. However, unlike the Nokis, Piantas show emotions: happiness and anger. Beside being in the three games mentioned, Piantas also have appeared in Mario Superstar Baseball, Mario Power Tennis, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mario Kart DS, Mario Super Sluggers, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
