N. Sanity Island is a recurring location in the Crash Bandicoot series. It is the first of a group of islands in a peculiar archipelago in Australia. The island is the home of Crash Bandicoot, Coco Bandicoot, and Crunch Bandicoot before they moved to Wumpa Island in Crash of the Titans and Crash: Mind Over Mutant.
The island's most notable feature is the giant skull on the side of the huge mountain that covers most of the island. This skull expels water from the mouth, acting as a waterfall. There's also a water jet by skull rock. The area where skull rock is located is N. Sanity Beach.
The flora is abundant and varied. From Wumpa trees to fully conscious carnivorous plants, vegetation is definitely one thing this island does not lack. The fauna is just as equally distributed, with wild boars, hermit crabs, skunks, marsupials and various bird species wandering about.
In addition to Bandicoots and the various animals that inhabit the island, tribesmen have a village within N. Sanity Island. Their village is protected by a gigantic wooden wall. Papu Papu is the tribe leader and resides within his hut in the village.
