Donkey Kong Country is a classic Super Nintendo Entertainment System video game released in 1994. This video game has Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong as the playable characters in the game as the two go throughout Donkey Kong Island to stop King K. Rool and retrieve the bananas from the Banana Hoard back. This game also received three sequels; Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Country Returns. This game also had Donkey Kong Land as a semi-sequel.

The game also had three remakes with one being for the Game Boy Color released in 2000/2001, one for the Game Boy Advance released in 2003, and another released in 2006/2007 for the Wii's Virtual Console.
